The Glade 4.0

Lost my job today. Yeah, Christmas day they called all the folks from the restaurant to tell us that the doors are locked and that if we want a few hours to pad our last paycheck we can come in tomorrow and help clean the place.

Since Shel is on 'disengagement' (mandatory unpaid leave his company requires at this time of year) we were already short on rent; I was hoping to make it up during the holiday season (which sucked), and now this.

Panic.

Condolences Taamar. While I'm sure your next job will surface shortly, the timing on this sucks.

It will work out, you're smart and able to juggle things, but the timing sucks and I wish there were an easy way I could help remove your panic.

What an awful time to lose your job; I'm so sorry!
Many landlords are willing to negotiate in a situation like this...sometimes they will agree to a lowering in the price of your monthly rent, late rent, etc. I've even had landlords agree to let me off the hook for a couple of months completely as long as I paid it in full when I got my income tax return. Hopefully you can work something out.
In the meantime, try to take off at least one day from panicking and enjoy your time with Shel. You'd be surprised at what a day of no worrying and stress can do to get your creative and resourceful thoughts flowing.
You will get through this, and it just may turn out better than you thought after all is said and done. *hugs*
