It was out 4 degrees, cost me $79. I probably could have done without, but I've got 89,000 on her. This was in addition to the $740 for the four tires.

Replaced the standard run flats? Those are $300-400 each (for the Goodyear, though I hear the Michelin versions are a better tire in terms of road noise), or does your vette have a spare?

I don't have a 'vette yet, that's scheduled for my mid-life crisis in about 4 years or so when I can pay cash for a new one and not crash our savings more than 5% - 10%. These were for my Liberty. I got the Perelli Scorpions for $185 (drive away price) each from Dobbs.

For some reason I thought you had already bought one.

Probably 'cause I've been planning for it forever and will babble about it like a 15 year old girl and her first crush to anyone who will listen. ;)

For my birthday, my wife bought me a 2007 with 8k miles on it. It gets used mostly as a weekend/date night car, but its fun and I love driving it.

The downside... I love the sound of the engine when its accelerating, but when a car does 0-60 in 4 seconds, its a heartbreaking short amount of time to enjoy the music.

A keeper even without the B-day present, but it was a nice surprise.
