Ok, fun night. My friend Emily cancelled on me so I decided to go to Boston by myself, even though I've never been there before (not counting airport or a museum).
I took a nap and got up at 8:45 PM. It was a bit late, but I wanted to explore Boston. I drove to Alewife station, took the T, and arrived in Downtown Crossing in Boston at 10. The subway trains close at 12:30.
I talked to two people on the train about marijuana legalization. It was interesting because they wanted it legalized but weren't pot smokers. They did 90% of the talking... I was just bored although I started the convo.
I walked out of the train station. I saw two guys unloading lots of food, drinks, and beer from a shopping cart. Their names were Josh and Ravi. I asked them about where good bars are. They invited me to drink with them. We went to their apartment. I had one beer and we talked about our jobs... they were actually really interesting guys. Both are involved in Internet startups. I peer pressured them into going out instead of drinking there.
We went to their favorite bar around the corner. I scanned the room looking for girls. I jokingly asked the guys who I should hit on, and they pointed to a cute girl. I walked up and asked her for her number. She laughed at me. Apparently she worked there, though. I told her she's a stick in the mud.
We went upstairs to the next bar. Two unpretty but touchable Asian girls were sitting at a table. Josh and I were joking about hitting on them but I don't think they noticed, even though we were standing 10 feet away. I walked up to the girls and said "Hi, I'd like to introduce myself. I'm Alex." and laughed a little. I didn't plan what to say next. The girls stared at me. I stared at them. I expected them to say something. I think they expected me to say something. Finally I asked where they go to school... they both go to law school. It turned into a 10 fun minute conversation about just everything, and the girls were laughing. Ravi walked over and started stealing my thunder. I told them I just met Ravi. Ravi laughed and said he's known me for a while. Ravi walked away to talk to his roommate. I told the girls that I actually did just meet Ravi. I didn't isolate or touch either of the girls so it was going nowhere. They got up and left, since it was 12:15 and the subway was closing. We didn't find them pretty anyways. The guys thought I did a good job nonetheless. The guys previously invited me to sleep at their place, and I confirmed this again and thanked them.
We went back downstairs. Then back upstairs. Josh paid for us all to go to the 3rd story night club. I found it amusing how a straight guy I just met paid for me, and told him this and said I owed him. Everyone seemed to be caught in some kind of musical flow. Ravi and Josh were standing around. I scanned the room looking for girls. I felt like the director in a movie set... everyone was caught up in some fake scene except me. I asked Josh who I should talk to. He pointed at 2 girls in the middle. I walked up and introduced myself. I asked them about dancing. They thought I wanted to dance, and shook their heads. I explained I didn't know how to dance. I touched them both on the waist and arms. However, I soon figured out they were both 29 and 30. It was a 5 minute decent conversation, but I ejected them because they were too old. I told Josh their age and he laughed at me.
I saw another really pretty girl, walked over, and grabbed her and led her to the side of the night club and sat down in the shadows. She told me she was a hostess at a restaurant. I could smell alcohol on her breath. I had my arm around her and was talking to her, when suddenly some guy grabbed her away from me! It was serious cock-blocking.
I got up and stood near the middle of the room looking for more girls. I talked to one but she was the photographer. She took our photograph. I talked to a really cute girl and she was actually highly interesting... it was fun talking to her. Didn't go anywhere although I touched her waist and arms a lot. I followed her to the VIP lounge and made her introduce me to everyone. I talked to more girls there and touched some of them. Didn't go anywhere. The really pretty girl who I had my arm around came back. I grabbed her again and sat down with her in the VIP lounge. She started texting someone called "B to the E" or something. She texted something about being upset. I asked what she was texting about. She mentioned her boyfriend. I started soothingly asking her lots of questions about her boyfriend problems and asked about how guys always hit on her, I told her she was really pretty, etc. I touched her arms and then her legs and hair. Josh texted me and asked where I was. I said "VIP Lounge". Josh came over. He was really drunk. He said we should get going... it was about 2:00. I sighed and kissed the girl twice on the lips. She was an 8 or a 9. If Josh didn't come over it would have been a lot better... I didn't get any tongue. I got her number though and my number is in her phone. It could go somewhere but I'm not betting on it. On the way out Josh tried to get a really pretty girl's contact info. She was really nice to him, in a polite way, but I don't think she was too interested. She gave him his Facebook info. I tried to convince her to come chill with us, but she refused... I stopped though because Josh wanted me to shut up. We went back to Josh's apartment and they all smoked weed and we talked about the night. I complimented them on their game, and told them how I lack game. All I have is guts and no experience. It was my second time in a night club ever, so I feel it was a good start, especially considering I only had one beer. Josh talked about how he really liked the girl but he made fun of her name for a while.
I crashed on their couch. It was really comfortable, but a really obnoxious and persistently beeping smoke alarm kept me up. I got 4 hours of sleep. This morning on the subway I tried to get a girl's number, even though I was dead tired. We talked a bit but she said she was in a relationship. I think she was serious. Now I'm at work and still dead tired... I want tea...
