Why is it that anything devoid of intellectual content has no problems playing? Try to watch a tutorial for genuine learning and all of a sudden it can't even maintain 144p stream. If I ever meet a Google employee, I'm going to punch them in the friggin neck. |

The totality of the Google catalog is on the order of hundreds of petabytes. Google has the ability to place content close to you, but that content, of necessity, is the most requested for your serving area. If you're pulling something from the long tail (and that's very much a misnomer, because due to the size of the data involved, the tail far outstrips the head), you'll be served from the closest point, but that could be anywhere. So then you have to understand the networks the data must transit. That is probably where your trouble lies. |
