**Warning. May contain foul and descriptive language. ** After our birthing class on Saturday, my wife was really craving Pei Wei. A place I'd recommend if you like P.F. Chang's and would like the exact same food for 1/3 the price (Pei Wei is owned by P.F. Chang's and uses their same stuff). It was fairly crowded, which I was expecting. But I noticed it was taking a bit longer than usual to get our food, even during such a busy time. Behind my wife sat a table of six. Three guys, three women. They had already received their meals and were probably midway towards finishing, if not 3/4s. I saw a runner bring out an appetizer and was confused as to who it was supposed to go to. It was one we had ordered. But she stopped at the table of folks and asked them if it was theirs. They said it was. I didn't raise any flags in my brain yet at this point. A runner comes out again looking very confused. She had an entree which is what I had ordered. She did not stop by our empty table, but instead first stopped at the table of six. Asked them if this entree was theirs. They said it was and took it. This is where I began paying closer attention. One of the loud and drunk ladies said something to the tune of "Let them complain! I don't care." I was still piecing together evidence of what was gong on, but I did log this into my brain. The runner again comes out with an entree that looks like what my wife had ordered. Again, before stopping at our obviously empty table, she stops at the other table and asks "Honey seared chicken with white rice?" This time they refuse it and send it back. I wait about 45 more seconds. When my blood sugar gets low, I am unusually cranky. Moreso than most people, and when I feel like I am purposefully being kept from food (it's a similar feeling to claustrophobia, of which I have a mild case) it gets worse. I control it better than my brother, who goes from 0 to cussing within microseconds. I was tired of waiting, especially after seeing the folks who ordered things after us in line were happily eating their food. I go to the serving station and ask what was up. What had happened was the person who took our order put down the wrong number (each patron is given a number to display at their table). The number that was written down wasn't being used by *anybody.* But, yes, the table of six did receive three of the four items we ordered and had sent back the last of it. That is to say, they gladly accepted the food and said "Yes it's ours" when asked if it was theirs. Instead of what a non-asshole-cocksmoking-dudebro-selfish-shiteater would do, which is politely and honestly say the food wasn't theirs. Had they done that, our food would likely have found it's way to the obviously empty table which was ours. They said they would remake the order. And that the runner would follow me to my table with the refused entree. The most infuriating part though? One of the dudebros sitting at the table, was watching me as I was walking back with the runner. And he gives me the "'sup?" nod with a douchey "I win" smile. The quickly snap-your-head-upward type of nod. **** you and **** your ratwhore-ugly girlfriends. I hope you three dudes choke to death on each other's ballsacks when you're teabagging each other in a daisy chain. Some days I regret being an upstanding citizen and not letting loose to beat the **** snot out of a guy who could clearly use some permanent face rearranging. My only solace was a manager came out and paid the bill. I would have liked it more had they charged the dudebro table's card for what they took. |

I blame the systemic failure of the wait staff at that restaurant. The order taker should have taken a second to verify the accuracy of the number he/she typed in. The runner should known not to send an appetizer to a table that already had food and that, presumably, did not have a number anymore. The management should notice that a table that already had food was getting serviced a second time and question the runner about the anomaly. Someone should have noticed that you have no food. |

If I was a manager there, I would have presented them with a bill for the food the took that wasn't theirs. And if they refused to pay, called the police. And I also would have paid for Buk's food. |

I blame the table more so than the restaurant. I know how chaotic they can get when busy. The server was obviously confused and the table took advantage of it at my expense. I'm more inclined to side with the waitstaff. We all mess up at work sometimes, it's bad it happened on 'buk's watch. Especially when there's extra link in the supply chain between 'Buk and his food. However the manager made it right and there's other people to blame, I'd probably let this pass, at least once. |
