A friend was hit by an SUV while driving home on his motorcycle last night. He didn't make it. :(

A lot of sympathy. It's been awhile but I have experienced that loss. We lost a former bard of the West to her motorcycle being hit by a garbage truck. Stunned for weeks, still sad.

Leshani, thank you. I was already aware, but the sharing of the news is a good thing. He wasn't a personal acquaintance, but his songs were popular at bardic circles here in the West for a long time. I don't think I've heard one in a few years though. Then again, I'm nowhere near the late nighter I used to be.

Just so you know his public Memorial was held at the Musical instrument Museum in Phoenix if you ever get to Phoenix it is a must visit place
and a very appropriate place for a man of his talents.

I'm sorry for your loss, Leshani, even if it was a few months ago. His music will be missed.

We lost Owain Pfyfe about two years ago. That one made me very sad, as I used to go see him perform at Pennsic.
