Some of us are attempting that, but then there's entire bunches of nits who whine about impact to the environment and other tree-hugger hippie crap. |

Well, according to Al Gore, you'll succeed in about 5-7 years anyway. And my house will be underwater. |

Love hate relationship with snow... I like it in small doses. I can't seem to stay warm though. |

Why Sacramento is still a popular place to live. you want to ski, two hours east. You want to boat, Folsom lake and two rivers right here. You want wine, Napa Valey an hour west. You want beer, lots of microbreweries, and some pretty nice ones too. You want a biggish city, San Francisco, 80 miles west. You want country, any direction, half an hour tops. Snow, we go visit in the winter, if we feel like it.. |

We got about 4 inches here atm. NOAA.com called for 4-7 Friday night and another 1-3 throughout today. If we keep getting the minimum, looks like we got another inch coming. My parents got the full brunt of it, but they live a few hundred feet higher than me in the hills. Just glad it's not a work day. |

Snow's a 90 minute drive away from the dustbowl here. Kinda nice to do a day trip and get the snow blues worked out without the hassle of living with the stuff throughout the whole winter. Of course, the rare snowless winter in Arizona's high country really blows, though. But there's snow aplently this year. |

We got half an inch. The city stopped. Trains were cancelled. Thousands were stuck in tunnels. It was a disaster. |

I'd think a couple thousand year-old city that regularly gets snow would have figured out what to do by now, sheesh Sui. |

There are many reasons why 12% of the country lives in California. Thankfully, most of them think living in a dessert on the coast is the way to go. |

Forecast today here in the Sacramento area is for mostly cloudy with a high of 57⁰F, and a low of 45⁰F. Brr, I might have to put on a jacket. Still wearing sandals though. It was kind of foggy last night though. 20 inches of snow on the slopes of West Virginia. Skiers ought to be happy. Darwin awards being given to drivers in pretty much every state above Virginia on the Eastern Seaboard, not so good |

Micheal wrote: 20 inches of snow on the slopes of West Virginia. Yeah that's my home state and we were just talking about that at work -- skiers come from near and far to drive in insane conditions up steep mountain trails, so that they can strap long pieces of wood to their feet and rocket back DOWN the slops at breakneck speeds in insane conditions (needless to say, skiing does not compute with me). Thankfully I live in the lowland flood plain area of WV, where ~6 inches is about as bad as it gets normally. |

I'll see your 57 high and 45 low and raise ya my local 70 high with a 39 low, Michael... Unlike Mus, though I'm in long john PJs and looking outside at the weather. Dayquil, Codeine syrup, and cough drops are my friends. If this stupid crap keeps up, I'm gonna hafta report to my local Zombie Recruiting Station... |

Get well soon Colphax. I'd really hate to have to chop your rotting head off your disintegrating corpse. It would ruin my day. |

I love the snow, really wishing I had a fireplace ATM though. Nothing beats curling up in front of a roaring fire with some hot cocoa, peanut butter toast and a nice book or movie or staring out the window at the falling snow. |
