Sinus surgery was Friday (woke up during, yay!). I hurt.

It's not unbearable, just uncomfortable. Pretty damn uncomfortable. And I've barely slept in 3 days.

Gonna try to take a short nap. Wish me luck!

Doxylamine, enough to knock you out, not enough to be too addictive... over the counter and easy to obtain.

You woke up during your surgery? Oh my! That sounds awful and painful.
I hope you recover very soon.

Ooo waking up during surgery is one of my worst fears.

At least it is over now, here's to a quick recovery,

I've been wondering if I have a deviated septum or something lately. One side of my nose always works fine, the other not at all. They frequently switch, but it's rare that I have 100% clear breathing outside of the shower or something.

It was surreal more than anything. Could see them and hear/feel the work, just no pain. They told me to close my eyes again and go back to sleep. :)

Seriously, though, after being awake through a c-section, this was nothing. (Then, I could feel the pressure of the incision, and then the surgeon moving parts out and putting parts back...)

I've got that problem too, and my nose runs almost continuously.

The doctor says its allergies.

Dammit, dammit, dammit!

I now have a cold.

The ENT/surgeon couldn't do the post-op debridement as a result, so I have to go back in next week. Another $20 copay wasted.

I'm annoyed he didn't listen to my symptoms, which were common with a viral infection (aches, chills, sore throat) - just insisted that congestion was normal after the surgery. Until he looked up my nose and declared, "Well, you seem to have an acute cold...."

No ****, Dr. Obvious.

But could I just have one week where I'm not sick? Please?
