Five Star Thai Cuisine in Union City, NJ took me out of work for about 2 days. Not sure what I ate, but it screwed me up something fierce. Eat at your own risk.

The food is great at least...

The food was great...just the after effects?

You ok now?

Well, if you're gonna crap your pants and vomit up your lungs, the food might as well be worth it. Time to go on a super Kashi purge of the system.

Kashi is only for a purging vacation...never touch the stuff if you have to work :p

Yeah - I've already spread the word on the dangers of Kashi. Raf didn't take me seriously and it already pooched one of his female encounters at the gym.

Funny, I suffered some food poisoning this morning, I believe. In-n-Out cheesburger on the way home last night. Projectile vomit this morning - literally blew chunks out my nose. Still feeling a bit wobbly, may take off early.

Mine wasn't that bad, Aethien. However, I've eaten a total of 800 calories over the past 48 hours and I still don't feel hungry.

Monday morning I was completely dehydrated, had full body chills/hot flushes, muscle ache all over and my head felt like I just drank an entire handle of Patron by myself. My guts have been queasy but they are a lot more solid now. I went and got a bottle of Pedialyte and that and a bowl of Special K were basically my diet.

But I'm still not very hungry. It's amazing how little food you need to be a vegetable.

What's Kashi? I thought they made cereals...

Kashi is cereal, correct...but with more fiber than a normal colon can handle. Causes things to run too smoothly lol. It also gave me gas.. I do not have bowels of steel ;)

The company named Kashi does make cereals and many other things, including a seven whole grain mix also called Kashi. It is good for noshing on (I find it tasty in small doses), provides a lot of fiber, and creates a lot of gas.

By God, I lost over 7 pounds in two days. Hopefully that's mostly water...

Huh, turns out that mine might actually be a stomach flu. The wife is a bit urpy and nauseous tonight, too, and we ate none of the same food yesterday.

Great, so that means my kids can still get sick and puke, too, oh boy!

My wife and I got food poisoning the day before our first anniversary. I guess it was appropriate, since isn't paper the traditional first anniversary gift?

Most infections (other than food poisoning) that make you vomit are viral. Most last 24-48 hours. There are a couple that last up to a week.

Now if you were drinking dirty water, there are some parasites that can do this for a lot longer. (cryptosporidium, giardia etc.)
