Christopher, age 4, just decided it would be a good idea to trim Catherine's, age 3, beautiful blonde locks. And not just a little... If it hadn't been for my oldest boy she mightn't have much hair left. Grrrrrrr!!!!! |

Dude, seriously, I clicked on this thread expecting to see something horrible like your kid had a brain tumor or something. I'm glad that's not the case. You should change your thread title. |

I have to admit that I also thought this was going to be a horrible thread that would make people cry and such. It's good to see it isn't. But this is stuff kids do. My little brother cut some girl's hair off in kindergarten. Well, it was another boy and my brother that did it. I laughed when I heard about it. Funny thing about hair is that it grows back. At least at that age it does. |

My 5-year old son - one week before getting his school picture taken, and a day after getting his haircut, decided to cut his hair himself. Wife walked in right as he was clipping about two inches off of his forehead with the safety scissors. Kind of a goofy look, can't wait to show his date the picture on prom night. |

Actually, it was just about what I expected. That is a parental phrase, a little subtler than "I'm going to kill that kid." I was however, relieved to be right. |

Sorry about the thread title...didn't even occur to me that it actually sounded as serious as it does. In any case Catherine has an emergency session with my wife's hair stylist tomorrow to try to mitigate the damage. |

Number me among those laughing with nervous relief. Make sure you have video or photographic evidence of the whole debacle. This will make great Christmas Diner table discussion about 20 years from now. |

My neighbor's daughter was jealous of my little sister's Shirley Temple-esque red curls. So she cut them off one day. Kids, gotta love 'em. 'Cause you're stuck with them. |

My daughter's BFF had hair down her back almost to the waistline, long straight beautiful blonde hair, until she decided she wanted it short like Allanna and cut it herself. She actually did a good job of it, but her mom was mortified. I think she was five or almost five at the time too. I feared the worst too, but alas, my daughter is a really really really good child. (No. Really!) =) |
