Good luck, and do everything you can to heal quickly.

I hate dentists too....but I go see mine regularly so I don't have to experience another excrutiating toothache leading to a root canal again.

Hope all goes well, Lydiaa!

Some one needs to film the aftermath of your visit. Could be the next video to sweep the internet.

Just came back, it actually didnt hurt that bad apart from the initial needles... but thats prob cause I'm still high on meds...

The feelings are starting to slowly come back but not enough that I hurt or anything... does anyone who's had it done want to tell me what to expect once it all wears off?

I can't drink water or eat anything for 4 hours, so I'm gonna go to asta and download some games to keep my mind off... They also let me keep my teeth. No pics, but I could totally see where it went wrong hehe.

Sometime in the near future I need to go and have the other 2 removed too, mostly cause one of them did not fully clear the gum and is kinda half stuck, he mentioned surgery and I kinda tunned out from fear of pain, the top one cause it would be too expensive to get a root canal and I'm really really broke now.

I've only recently decided to get my health into check, the result up to this point has actually involved mostly pain. But i've been told it's good for me so I'm sticking it out >.<

I'd say "man up!", but I don't think that's the best phrase to use in this case. I've had sooooo much done to my mouth, nothing really phases me anymore. Another root canal? Sure, kneel on my chest to get that last piece of root out, no worries, I'll just go to my happy place.

I never had my wisdom teeth out as a stand alone procedure (they just took 'em all out while they were mucking around in there for something else), but I imagine you'll have some dull pain for a day or two, tenderness for a week, and then it'll all heal out by the end of the month.

Good luck!

I've had quite a bit of dental work including having wisdom teeth removed. Here are a few tips for quick, relatively pain free healing.

Don't smoke, just don't.
Don't use a straw.
No carbonated or acidic drinks. No soda, no fruit juices.
Rinse with warm salt water every couple hours.

The first three tips will prevent a dry socket. You don't want one. I've had them occur twice and have never experienced any pain like it. The salt water will help the soft tissue heal and prevent breath odors.

Glad it all went well, Lydiaa!

If I do the sleep for 24 hours thing, I generally am sick enough to need to get to the hospital...
