Still adjusting to not being able to whatever I like with the money I earn whenever I like to Responsibility blows ;-p |

That's how we do it - we let the other know what we want (purchases over $100), then they decide when the times right. I have a kick-ass wife though who understands and supports my wants and desires...so it's just a matter of time. Doesn't make it easier though |

the Futurrrrrrrrrr Shes more sensible than me, and less used to having readily disposable income. I've been fortunate enough to be continually employed for 15 years so I'm very used to my income. (with apologies to anyone with anything actually, you know, genuine to rant about) |

That Citroen reminds me of a joke. HAAAA ! PUTAIN DE 2CV !!! Et il crache par terre... |

I don't speak French...in fact, I'm not even sure that's French - my other language skills run more to silicon intrepretation instead of human... |

And Babelfish says C' is l' history d' a driver heavy lorry who arrives at a transport cafeé, puts himself at the bar and starts to tell: - It m' in good arrived… Ha! Whore of 2CV! And it spits by ground. - My truck left the road on ten terminals d' here… Ha! Whore of 2CV! And it spits by ground. - J' stays completely planted in the fields… Ha! Whore of 2CV! And it spits by ground. - Suddenly a 2CV arrives… Ha! Whore of 2CV! And it spits by ground. - It was led by a fag who says to me: I will leave you from there with my car… Ha! Whore of 2CV! And it spits by ground. - Then I answer him: If you manage to leave my truck with your deuche, j' cut you a pipe… HAAAA! WHORE OF 2CV!!! And it spits by ground… I don't get it. |

Left hand wheel? Or is that just for us so we don't freak out? Not a bad looking little car but it is a little too girly for me. |

Google Translate comes up with a fairer translation of the joke, although it still has a few hiccups. Spoiler: |

That's a pretty car, sorry you can't get it. I think that's why we all eventually have mid-life crises and get (Vettes/Citroens/pretty blondes with big boobs). We get tired of being frustrated and not in control. |

LOL...YOU get tired of being frustrated and not being in control.... My hubby made me quit a job I loved so he could work weekends on side jobs with his brother doing Japanese landscaping! That lasted about 3 side jobs! We refinanced our house 11 years ago to get a lower interest rate and so the mortgage would be paid off to coincide with his retirement date at age 65...he has since decided to retire three years earlier than planned! So 18 years of my part time income is gone as well as his side job income and we will still have a house payment to make every month for 36 months AFTER he retires! Sure I could have gone back to work when our son was older, he didn't want me to, he wanted a stay at home wife... so guess who is very frustrated and tired of not being in control here!! (and before any of you come in here bashing me, tell me this...how many of you would have stayed in a relationship for 28 years if there was no "marital relations" in the last 18 years??) |

I ain't gonna bash, you're a saint, Jasmy. But, yeah, maybe loss of control by both sides is what makes a marriage, hey?! |

Heh, Aethien I am no saint, as my outburst last night clearly shows! What I am is tired, frustrated, angry, worried, and scared! I'm married to a man that spends money like he hasn't had his paycheck cut due to furlough days the past 6 months and which will continue to be cut by furlough days over the next year until he retires! Anyway, I'm through ranting! Sorry to rain on Sui's thread! Ya'll go back to teasing him about wanting to drive a Tonka toy! |

No worries, Jasmy. I think that's more like a Matchbox toy, though, from the U.S. perspective |
