Been feeling lousy lately, had an episode of what I thought was altitude sickness when the Katii took me up to a Renaissance Faire in Tahoe to celebrate my birthday. Lovely people the Katii, I've grown quite fond of them, and Mrs. Katas rocks a bodice quite nicely. I had another episode at work recently, and the fourth floor doesn't really qualify as high altitude - well neither does Tahoe, but I've never had altitude sickness before. I went to the doctor today, got a week off work and some new prescriptions. Blood pressure is too high, the blood sugar is too high, and my breathing is a little labored. Bah! Back to eating food that doesn't taste creamy or make me feel really wonderful. Hypertension, stage two. Bring the numbers down now or have a stroke soon. Bah again. |

I'm sorry you're having to eat ... *shivers* healthy food *shivers*. I hope the meds help enough so you could at least be naughty some of the time... *huggles* |

Awww that stinks, Micheal! Hope the meds and the diet work quickly to bring you back to healthy. On the plus side...sounds like a good recipe-request/suggestion thread for the Food forum. |

Wow, bummer. But not as much of a bummer as not catching it in time! Good luck. |

Had some elective surgery scheduled today. Between my blood sugar being higher than normal and my recent couple episodes of shortness of breath, they decided to postpone it and run some tests. Frustration level is very high. Amusingly, my blood pressure was down to 125/73, best its been in a long time. The new medications seems to be working. |

What happened in Tahoe stays in Tahoe. LK, mostly, but if my blood sugar doesn't get under control I won't be. I really need someone here reminding me and giving me a reason to take care of myself, because obviously I don't do it for myself. The elective surgery is hernia repair, nothing major, just maintenance. |

Minor surgery is minor, only when it is done on someone else. Hope you get better. |

Micheal, take care of yourself. I'll try to remind you as much as I can! You still coming for New Year's? God willing, I'll still be pregnant (and big) so you'll recognize me since thats how I looked last time, hahaha! My dad used to operate on hernia's...he actually fixed my sister's hernia when we were kids...didn't seem like a huge deal. When is the rescheduled operation? Do you have someone coming to visit you then and stuff? If not, get an iPhone or sneak a laptop in or something so we can cheer you up! |

Michael, Don't make me drive down there. I know where you live (for ril!). If I have to come down there I'm going to make you eat nothing but raw broccoli for a month until your Blood Sugar is near zero! :p |
