You assholes, maybe if you kept a decent business model and didn't treat your staff and customers like ****, we could still have a Krav program. But no, you constantly talked down and made fun of the program, while simultaneously stealing all of the self defense techniques, instructed word for word from our books to your TKD class. Despite the fact that since we've taken advertising and recruitment into our own hands, class size has increased from 6 people 3 years ago, to a regular crowd ranging from 24-30. But you just couldn't afford to pay our instructor (name omitted) what he was worth, or at least enough so that he didn't have to work two other jobs to keep his kids in school. Your TKD isn't even that good. Hell, the sister TKD school where I train BJJ at routinely beat you guys at *every* tournament. And they're all training out of the middle school gym. Jesus Christ.

Well **** you, I've had enough. Krav is what got me involved in martial arts, and it has made me a much stronger person. **** you if you think I'm going to take your shitty TKD. I'm going to keep training. Who knows where or with who. I've sparred with your "Top" blackbelts, and they were ****. JFC. I even promoted your school to my friends and school mates, but I'm done lying about how nice you guys are, and why the school is good. I loved our class, but the disdain shown to us by all of the upper TKD students (Except the ones who actually bothered to train with us and learn what we're about. Bless you guys, you **** rock.). It's bullshit and you know it. So help me, I hope to never have to deal with another of your McDojo's again. You are all slimy scumbags with no respect. You even shot down a good opportunity to have an excellent Arnis/Escrima instructer join up and teach a class. Not even on a trial class you shot him down. But this, this is the last straw.

You took the one program I love most and killed it.

I'd suggest looking at getting involved with the WTF (World TKD Federation) as they are an internationally recognized body, and not as prone to McDojo's like ATA.

I'd agree Aizle, but my 1st Dan Black Belt is through a WTF Dojo. Our school's Grandmaster was very knowledegable and very nice but promoted people too quickly. If you really wanted to learn, you had to press yourself, not expect the instructors to. So be careful even if they are WTF sanctioned nonetheless.

Oh, I agree. In the world of martial arts, it's always caveat emptor.

Oh, side note. (Now that I am less drunk/angry ) I don't train in TKD: there was a Krav Maga class operated out of the TKD school.

That being said, If I was to start TKD, where I train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has a WTF TKD class that trains at the same time. Those guy are really good, and really laid back to boot.

Mostly I'm just frustrated by how crappily the Krav Program was treated at the ATA school.

Yeah, pretty much anytime you have multiple martial arts under the same roof, someone gets shafted.
