Charter Cable just stopped. No analog signals on the line, no phone service, no TV.. nada. The risk of single point of failure configurations. So much for delivering the report on the 11.31 upgrade tests ... Total suckage! It's been 45 minutes and I'm starting to think about gnawing off my leg. But, wait! A quick scan through available networks and what do I see? An unsecured access point, just waiting for me! It's a test, well, they could be using DSL ... I'll not connect my work laptop, but my personal one? Oh yeah! Normally I'd not consider connecting to an unsecured access point for any reason, but it's either that or sacrifice one of my shih tzu's to the cable god. I can't work, so time for a little WoW! edit: crap! I've not played in a while... freaking patching... |
