| Post subject: | Employment Woes |
So a few months back my company began a restructuring process. This has left many people in a rather uncertain position. Myself being one of these people. Here we are now in November, and rumors fly, but no information is passing in one direction or the other. Still no word on who is going to be employed, and who is going to be unemployed. Needless to say, this close to Christmas... I am freaking the **** out. Luckily the project going on in my Business and Technical Writing class has been a job project. It has been focusing on how to write an effective resume and cover letter. This has come in all kinds of useful. After four years of being at this company and them not even being able to say "Hey dude... you are cool, you got a job. Or hey dude, start looking you are out." This evening has been a horrible struggle with a panic attack, because I feel depressed* and out of control of my life. SO I said **** it... I am currently still employed, but as of tonight... I am officially back in the market for finding a job. I have officially placed an Application in to the Venetian Hotel for a position as a PC Tech Supervisor. I am not happy about the idea of changing jobs, or of being unemployed. But I will not/can not be one of those people who is trying to milk the system. *more so than normal |

Best of luck. Just survived round two of layoffs in R&D. We're supposedly "safe" until 2013. |

well... I turned in a couple more resume's this evening... One to the local phone company and one to an out of state company. Kind of scared. Scared that I may not be qualified, and also scared that I may have to make a large life change if I do get one of them. |

The issues going on with my job are beginning to **** with me hardcore. I have a job, for now... I may get an offer worth taking on Monday. But until then stress is causing multiple issue... No mojo (Not inability but lack of desire) No peace and quiet incredible irritability Want to hurt squishies Don hit squishies Squishies no get up Stress end so Don get mojo back. |
