Ok, so if you were leaving a job... how much "proof" of positive reviews would you take with you? For example, I have 3 inches printed on my desk from when we used to do mailed surveys, and I probably have another 3 in digital records that I could print.

So, how many inches of positive client comments do you take? Zero? More than zero, and if so how much more.

Cleaning my desk and need input.

Zero.

If you were a permanent employee, all you need is the starting/ending salary numbers and that says exactly how much you were valued.

Thanks. This is what I was leaning towards. I don't agree with the rest of your assessment though, as you're presuming employment at an organization that gives merit increases rather than doing COLA's.

Appreciate the feedback though!

Something about this thread and inches and proof...man, there's a joke in here somewhere but I'm just not back in the swing of things yet to find it....where is Arafys when ya need him??

:D

Take what you have, keep the rest on digital media and tell future prospective employers what you have and only print it out if they want to see it.

I have always kept a referal book, which is a useful sales prop, and has always led to a ton of new business. It also serves as a great a reference suorce on interviews. "References? Yes. Here is a complete list of all my clients whom are so satisfied with the services I provide them that they trusted me with the names and phone numbers of all their closest friends and relatives."

I don't know if this sort of thing would be helpful in your line of work on not.
