Hey all,

My life has had some bumps of late, but it could be worse.

A co-worker and friend's townhouse caught fire yesterday... no one hurt, thankfully...

Another co-worker's 14 year old, Autism spectrum disorder son was just arrested for assault and terrorist threats... they were asked to take their 16 year old daughter to the hospital because he was choking her...

And that's not counting the shocks and upsets that fuel this forum and justify the existence thereof.

Thank you all for sharing, it helps... to know that a splinter won't kill me, even if it's a big arse one.

In the meantime, do your best to appreciate your blessings and take solace in friendships during the hard times.

My younger brother has Aspergers so I can relate with your friend in regards to the violence and addictions and conspiracy theories. I once drove my bro to turn himself in and 5 min after we left (according to our neighbors) 7 law enforcement vehicles showed up with assault rifles...something to do with what I later found out was a phone call my brother had made to his PO threatening to take an AK47 and "splatter cop brains" all over the asphalt.
