This is not a rant or rave ... just a reflection. I was always such a summer person. I love the beach, I love the sun ... I love the song Chicane - Autumn Tactics, especially the End of Summer mix: Spoiler: I love girls wearing bikinis, skirts or just less clothing in general. I love the smell of barbecue. I love the feeling of late warm summer evenings spent just unwinding. But would I trade it all for endless winter ... I just might. How times change. |

Good. Snow is cold, nasty and sucks. Winter is dark, cold, windy and miserable. |

There are places you can move that can fulfill your heart's desire in this area. I hear Siberia is like that year round. |

I have never experienced anything else that approximates the feeling of standing on mountainside during a silent snowfall, in the middle of the night. ...and bourbon's good. |

Rafael wrote: Then all the snow would melt That's the idea. Unfortunately it is a misguided. Snow is an evil, evil thing. Winter and its fiendish offspring, snow, are a result of the weakening of the veil between worlds in Autumn. It just so happens that Hells layers of Cania and Stygia are right on the astral border of Earth's northern hemisphere in winter, and their devlishly cold weather seeps through into our own reality. Blame Mephistopheles for this attrocity known as winter! Give me my tropics! |

No wind, hoarfrost everywhere and so quiet you can hear a mouse fart a mile away. |

Snow so deep that you decide you don't *really* need to go in to work today and pour yourself another cup of coffee instead. |

I really need to move somewhere with a weather forecast like that year round. Winter can suck it. |

87 degrees in may is to damn hot.... Las Vegas just about killed me, that city was painful working in, running cable on top of the Flamingo at 4pm in August, just felt like pure death. get up to the roof and in 5 minutes felt like I step out of Sauna. Snow year round would love, just not the cold, steady 65 all year round with Snow! Yes! Where is that place? |

I moved somewhere I could actually have 4 seasons instead of two. |

You're not, like, from Wisconsin or nothin', are ya?! I was thrilled that it rained the other day. Been going on for a couple of years now, rain in April and May. I've lived in Southern Cal now for almost 20 years, and that's pretty unusual. We'll get a heavy marine layer of moisture in June, usually (June Gloom), and that passes for precipitation (mist), but it's not the same as actual weather. Yes, I miss it, too. Didn't even get up to the mountains for snow this year. |

Living in Southern California: Marinating in your own ball sweat for 9 months of the year. Freezing your balls off the other 3. There is nothing in between. **** California. |

Freezing? Sure, up in your old neck of the woods. It might hit a low of 40 degrees, down here in the urban massif. I agree with you about the heat, but that doesn't hit us in earnest until July or so. It's rather pleasant today. |

I live in Idaho now, though. Which is totally awesome. Hasn't been about 70 since I moved here. It's like spring actually exists. It didn't go from winter to summer. So that means I'll likely get Fall, which is by far the best time of the entire year. |
