I am so tired of hearing speakers tell kids to get into Healthcare because it is a "growth-industry". The baby-boomers will all be dead by the time these kids graduate college and the industry will contract along with the population. It'll be just like IT and the education system except this time around it will be certified nurses serving you dinner at Applebee's. |

Our generation is starting to develop diabetes at a startling rate. And the baby boomers are living longer than previous generations, and some areas already have shortages of health care personnel. |

Perhaps Hopwin is planning to go on a cross-country mass-murdering spree next week and kill off everyone between the ages of... let's say 55 and 70. "The baby-boomers will all be dead by the time..." Maybe he just knows something we don't. |

Seriously, get into medicine now and in 30 years all the boomers will be dead and you face an ever-shrinking pool of consumers. So then you have to go back to school, retrain, find a new career at 40-50? Go learn to be a plumber, people will always ****. |
