Everytime I hear "Storm Lee" I picture a tropical storm with super villians in it. |

A little wind, a lot of rain........otherwise no biggie here. Imagine low lands will get some flooding, though. My hummingbirds are swarming in the rain. I think they must be migrating because all of a sudden there are like two dozen drinking all the sugar water up outside. |

Mook, isn't Tejas in the middle of one of it's worst draughts in history? I would think a good soaking would be welcomed. |

The problem is the land is parched into solidness. The rain isn't going to sink in, water plants, and go down to the aquifer as much as its going to run off and make nasty floods. |

Ah, the joy of New Orleans in storm season. I had the pleasure of driving from New Orleans to Baton Rouge and back today in the storm... Such a lovely trip. The rest of my labor day weekend will be spent curled up inside, occasionally changing the towels soaking up the water coming in under the doors. Exciting stuff! Hopefully at least some of Texas will catch some of the lighter spin off storms- some rain, but not so much to really flood things badly. |
