In addition to the losses here. I've talked to four people at work who have lost family or close friends this last month, and my FaceBook community seems to be flooded with reports of loved ones dying in the last two weeks.

In addition to that my brother in Chico broke his collarbone and six ribs a couple weeks ago falling off his bike (while racing through his neighborhood with a friend.

Just found out the other full brother is back in jail for a) DUI and b) driving on a suspended license.

Just please stop now PTB, enough sucky news this week.

Sorry I missed this. *huggles* Is October turning out to be a better month? And how are your brothers doing?

Hi LK,

Not really, lost one friend/coworker already this month. Part of growing older I suspect. He was 69, still working because he couldn't afford to retire. Massive coronary. Heck of a nice guy.

My brother in Chico was healing well last I heard. Went up to see him and he was out of the hospital, walking around (slowly, wincing occasionally, and said he was fine.

My brother in jail will be out around Thanksgiving, but is currently in the medical ward because he's too frail to be in general population. We'll see what happens there.

How are you folks doing?

I'm sorry you lost another friend. :( I've always thought that part about maturing must really be depressing. *hugs* Now might be the time to start mentoring some young folks or something...host a bible class with church or some thing where you can surround yourself with peeps that are youthful to balance things out a bit...I wish I could mail you a wife and a bunch of friends with live-for-20-more-years guarantees!!!
I'm glad your brothers seem to be doing ok...I have a brother in prison somewhere in Cali, haven't heard from him in two years. Somehow, I think he's safer in there from himself.
We are doing good over here...I still haven't found a job and I'm still grieving pretty hard, but we have a lot to be thankful for.
