some days the 'perfect gift' is easy. Sometimes its hard. I had no problems with Birthdays, valentines day, but Christmas for my fiance this year is hard. I've just kinda hit a brick wall. I like to be a little original with my gifts (or at least make them 'well thought out') and this year is proving harder than most. She's gotten Jewelry for her birthday this year, (not to mention engagement ring) so Jewelry is done. Done spa gift certificates last year. She's getting me theater tickets so that's out. Still mulling. *checks calendar* mulling faster now..... |

I got my wife a wireless laser printer for her birthday... She loves it. Massage coupons always are welcome as well- I know someone she really likes in town. But you said spa gift certificates are out, so that may include massages. I like giving "trip" coupons- book a nice trip (even just a weekend) somewhere special, and give that to her. It lets me put together several things that she'll like, and it always builds good memories for the two of us as well. |

You're never "done" with jewelry. |

Yes, but she's someone who doesn't wear that much jewelry either. |

Ugly Christmas Sweater? Rather than ugly, how about a nice one, good wool or cashmere (yes its wool too, but a very expensive soft and warm kind), designer label or thereabouts. Maybe more than one? Earrings are ALWAYS a good idea, women wear different earrings all the time, more options for the ears is a good thing. Find a nice small jeweler and go from there. No lingerie, that is a gift for yourself, not her. Tickets to TSO, but that might be far enough in the future as to not really count as a Christmas present. http://clicks1.musictoday.com/cts/click ... LIZA%3D%3D A weekend getaway to someplace she has wanted to go but has never been? A gift certificate for a tattoo or piercing you kinky guy you? See's Chocolate. Better than Godiva in my opinion. YMMV. Given your normal political leanings, I'm guessing fur is not an option. Good luck. |

Ditto what Micheal said about earrings. I wear hardly any jewelry at all, but having a variety of earrings to choose from works for me. It's my main accessory. Does she have pierced ears? |

Yes, earrings are always fun, so many styles! Here are some things I would like, just girl ideas that might fit Remote car starter Amazon gc for kindle books Lotions and bubble bath from B&BW GC for Mani/Pedi Simple rings for thumb or other fingers (I wear Celtic twists on my thumb and first finger, sterling silver, I get more compliments on these cheap rings than anything) feet lotions and spa socks Stereo for car with mp3 capabilities and CDs she likes Soft warm sofa blankets Hope these ideas help! |
