Is there a way to harness the static electricity that I discharge EVERY GODDAMN TIME I get up from my desk? I swear I could power my computer with the little lightning bolts. My boss who sits next to me hears the discharge and my yelp in pain each time. I make sure to ground myself to the metal file cabinet in my cube before walking away so I don't electrocute one of the users who I am trying to help. F*cking OWWW! *BRZZZAP* |

It's the perfect storm of the mesh backing of the chair and the plastic carpet saver thing that my chair rolls on. I can feel the buildup as my shirt starts sticking to my back while I am sitting there. I can usually tell how big the ZAP is going to be before I ground myself when I get up. |
