So apparently you can no longer buy E/EE series bonds in paper form. You can set up a Treasury Direct online account and purchase them which means they are no longer practical for gift-giving. That is utter BS. |

They stopped them at the beginning of this year. I have a whole bunch at home I will cash in eventually, but haven't bothered setting up a treasury on-line account. Yes, it is annoying. |

I used to give them to all my nieces and nephews for presents. Sucks *** I can't anymore. |
