So like most everyone else here, I am a lifetime gamer. Currently, I am adjusting to life with a newborn and a 3yr old in the house. Due to this, I have precious little time to play what games I really want. I don't know if I envy those who have more time allotted in their days to play or not. I truly want to delve into many of the games that I have waiting for me. As of this moment, the following is a list of what I have that I don't have the time to address: Code: Assassins Creed: Brotherhood - Need to finish Assassin's Creed: Revelations - Need to start Dead Island - Need to finish Dead Rising 2 - Need to start Mass Effect 2 - Need to finish Mass Effect 3 - Need to start Diablo 3 - need to play to find the phat lewts! Most of these games, as seems to be the norm anymore, are huge and endlessly replayable. So much to do and explore that there is just no way to "finish" any of them. I feel like I am missing out when I can't play them as they come out, rather they are relegated to my "to play" list. They are brought out when I find a half hour to squeeze in a bit of gaming. Life is a busy process and it seems I am cursed with the draw to want to play so many games. Honestly, I don't know how some here do it and get in the time to not only finish these games, but level up and collect so much in the multiplayer modes that some of them have. I squeezed in about 15 minutes of Diablo 3 this morning after getting myself and my son ready to get out the door and it was a great short session. Finished the Skeleton King in Act 1 and picked up a new magical orb for my Wizard. Just that small bit was barely enough to sate me, but I know there will be no time today otherwise to play. After work, it's off to the Pediatrician for my son's 3 yr checkup, back to the in-laws to pick up the baby, and then time to get them both ready for bed, and to bed with the wife and I for midnight feedings for the baby. I look forward to when life levels off a little so I can balance my home time between family and gaming (I SO want to play D3 more). But in the meantime, I have to enjoy my short gaming stints when I can squeeze them in and look forward to playing hot new games about a year or so behind the mainstream. |

Value what you have rather than worrying about what you don't. Don't feel that you have to do anything in this arena. It's cool you have other things to do. Dont feel that you have To Keep up with the proverbial Joneses. The games arent going anywhere after all. |

I tend to have a problem with games where the "end" suddenly ratchets up the difficulty to some extreme level and I can't finish. I'm having that with Space Marine; I played it on the hardest setting and I just can't beat the final encounter. |

I think my youngest was six before I could really sit down and get in some serious game time. That being said, I only need four hours of sleep each day so once bet time for the kids hits, I needed my sanity break. |

I mean, you obviously have something else that you enjoy more than gaming. Which is the real important part. But I'm not going to lie...this is one of the main reasons I will never have a family. I am 100% too selfish for it. |
