Costing more than my car. Quotes for everything but the appliances are completely opaque. Constantly feel like I'm being bent over. How does anyone get construction done and know its a good price?

Will post pics when it's done. Grumble.

Best of luck for a low-stress renovation.

I need to do that some day. Or rather, I'd like to do that. I'm woefully short on counters and cabinets.
