| Post subject: | Fires Everywhere! |
Work was evacuated yesterday due to a new fire that started in my area. I actually wasn't scheduled to work, but was nearby when the fire started so went into work to see if they needed help. It was a bit surreal with people being evacuated down the canyon, watching as all the smoke and ash billowed above us. The canyon I work in is closed today, which is a big problem for us because we're a small park and it's one of our busiest days of the year. Thankfully everyone evacuated and is safe, and it's looking like the park is probably safe from the fire. Still pretty crazy, especially with how fast the fire spread due to the winds and slope of the mountain there. Quail Fire |
