Brother was hospitalized 3 days ago with spontaneous hemorrhaging in his thigh that wouldn't stop (he has a bleeding disorder) My father is on his 5th cancer. My sister fell and snapped her Humerus a week and a half ago My daughter has a list of medical issues that have escalated this year. My wife found out Friday she needs spinal surgery to repair 3 disks in her back. Six days ago my grandfather was hospitalized with pancreatits. Five days ago his spouse collapsed from stress and had to be hospitalized. Three weeks ago my childhood friend was in a helicopter crash and is still fighting for his life against infections. My aunt is waiting for the results from her thyroid biopsy that they suspect is cancer. Last night my mother announced she has cancer of the 'female variety' Screw this. |

You might want to consider getting some counseling for yourself. Good men have broken under lighter loads. |

**** 2013. This year has been awful to people close to me. My former father in law (who was always good to me) and my daughters beloved "Pop-pop" suffered a pulmonary embolism, necrotic pancreatitis and kidney failure as a complication from the hip replacement he was having. He is no longer expected to survive. My daughter will want to see him but none of us think it will be good for her to do so. (He's not regained consciousness and is only alive on machines and tubes) |

How old is your daughter? Is she old enough to understand that he's in that bad a way? Will she resent you for not letting her at least say goodbye? |

13. Her grandmother has said she will refuse to let my daughter see him. It's not really my call. (In 2 days my daughter will go back to living with her mother for the weekend) |

Hits just keep coming. My wife's father was rushed to the hospital last night and we were told he would not last the night. This morning he was more aware than he's been in weeks and danger is mostly passed. Someone stop the roller coaster. I want off it. |

Sometime in the last days he had a stroke and CT scan revealed no chance of him waking up. They elected to disconnect his machines. He was 52. |
