People who take widescreen high def video at 16:9, and compress it to fit on a 4:3 shaped screen (despite being distorted and making people look weird and thin), then upload the 4:3 video to a 16:9 format like Youtube, still compressed and distorted, but now letterboxed on the sides? Those people need a brick to the face. |

There are some very few situations where vertical video is appropriate. That does not include any situation where the video has any small likelihood of ending up on YouTube. |
