Yes. They did. What makes this funny is that Providence Mayor Angel Tavaras is to the left of Nelson Mandela, and he is being called a right wing hack over this. Bottom line is, unsustainable is unsustainable, and you can't spin broke.

And actually, even more than the union making it's bed; the fault lies with Congressman David Cicciline who had been serving as Mayor of Providence for the prior 12 years. He ran the city at an astounding deficit, hid it to the extent that the city auditor had to file under The Freedom of Information Act to get access to the funding information; and then had his computer access stripped once he did.
