Ok, for the record, I couldn't care less about the issue itself, but I do find the reaction hilarious.
I never saw "outrage" but there was a lot of disagreement with the decision to separate them, and some folks were pointing to this as evidence that homosexuality is natural, etc.
The problem with drawing a comparison, is that you, well, validate the comparison.
