I wonder if CNN will run a fact check on that.

I'd say the AP would, as soon as they pull all those reporters off checking Palins book while ignoring the healthcare bill or Gores fairy tale he just released.

SNL critical of a sitting President? It must mean they're totally failing. SNL is never critical of a president when they're successful. Like when the stock market tanked, this is a clear indicator of failure. Or something like that.

You do understand exactly how scathing that bit of satire was, right?

SNL stopped being funny in the early Nineties. The last good cast was the one with Phil Hartman, Dana Carvey, Chris Rock, Mike Meyers, etc.

I don't think I've laughed at an SNL skit since then.

Edit: forgot about Weekend Update. They're not great, but Tina Fey could make me laugh. Thankfully, she's off to bigger and better.

I pretty much don't watch SNL anymore either; that skit, however, was hilarious in its unabashed attack on American financial policy.

SNL is hit and miss. MadTV has some decent sketches every once and a while.

This particular sketch isn't that funny, so much as it is cynically depressing with regards to the abyss we're in.

I am with FarSky on this one, I have not paid attention to SNL for years. Besides, I know if anything really good comes up, it will get posted here at some point.

I was thinking about this today; the biggest plus of being a member of a community like this is that it acts as a sort of aggregator for internet things that are relevant to my interests. People congregating over a shared interest will likely have more shared interests, and it works to provide a stream of constant new (and largely relevant) material.

I was reading the Glade when 9/11 happened, it was how I learned of it. I turned the TV on just in time to see the second plane hit.
