Also, what about practical accuracy like IPSC competitions and 3 Gun Nation type drills? I know guys who do AR run and gun drills with an automatic pistol backup and shoot 4" steel targets around 10-30 yard distances (realistic engagement distances) but go for speed while putting in a required number of followup shots. It also tests your fundamentals while under physical exertion. Some of the competitions look downright exhausting.

I'd love to try some of that type of shooting, but haven't found a place near me that does them.

It seems a lot of areas simply don't have the room to let you run around and shoot, even in a controlled environment.

Bass pro shop near my home has a really nice range. Both hand guns and rifles. Just wish I had the time to go shoot.

I don't want to turn this into a semantics argument but IMO owning a gun, even just one, is being "pro" gun. Especially when you call your excitement for upgrading said gun a compulsion/disease.

People hve referred to all kinds of personal habits and interests as "compulsions" and "diseases" around here, facetiously. I don't see how guns are special in that regard.
