The non-feminists feel no need to hide their faces or other features from the camera. Didn't I post the UK sociological study that demonstrated feminists don't breed, Women's Studies majors have the lowest level of happiness among women, and that they possess a high level of non-normative appearance differentiation?

I do not recall ever seeing this study, but if you post it I will read it.

Comparing two tumblr accounts based on people holding up their statements for and against feminism, Khross is right, many more of the anti-feminism women show their faces.

I don't know. The second non-feminist (the one with the Glock .40) isn't showing her face, either.

You probably didn't notice, though. I can see how that detail would be missed. She's drawing attention elsewhere.

(it's the gun!)

There are products to help with that.

Elmo dry bangs his Glock?

Perhaps. I don't remember "Do not insert penis into barrel of gun" as one of the rules of gun safety.

Rule #2, never point the muzzle at something you don't wish to destroy. Therefore, penis insertion would be equivalent to extreme-masochism.

And any Glock chambered for anything other than 9mm is almost as stupid as a "1911" chambered for 9x19.

The G20 is probably the next backpacking automatic you can get. But that's it. There is no need for anything other than the G17/18/19/26.

Especially if you're backpacking where there's bears. ;)

Even if you're packing 230gr heavy cast 10mm auto, you better hope to whatever god you believe in not to run into any bears. 10mm I might trust to take out wild boars, if there are bears, my number one option is not to be there. Number two, .338 LM, .378 WM or some other .416 Rigby derivative at a minimum.

.44 Magnum would probably deal with a lot of bears, if we're talking about handguns. It's not ideal, but it would probably at least let you get away.

I was poking fun at the autocorrect of "best" to "backpacking". At least that's what I'm assuming it was ;)

I misspelled next as best. But I do indeed think it's one best options as far as automatics for hiking anywhere.

DE, I can't shoot a DA to save my life, which literally would be the case with a bear involved. I can shoot a DA/SA trigger on an auto like the Sig or M9/M92 but a DA revolver would mean I would be lunch.

Wait did you just say you want a .338 lapua mag for bears?

For handguns I think a .454 casull should be able to handle any in the 48

GUNCRAFTER INDUSTRIES 50GI MODEL NO 3 50 GI 1911

Friend of mine who retired recently said he ordered one of these to take with him into retirement in northern Nevada, for bears. Well, large varmints that can stand erect is how he put it. I assume bears. I hope he meant bears.

Nearly four grand for a pistol? the ammo is expensive too. His money, he can do with it what he pleases. It will most likely take care of the bears he says concern him in the wilds of Northern Nevada.

Yes, a "game stopper" wildcat cartridge would be preferable but Rigby derived cartridges would stop many bigger animals charging. For example, the ballistic performance and anecdotal evidence of the .577 Nitro and it's derivatives (577 TRex chief among them) suggest it's not necessarily significantly more effective than a .338 LM and the 338 LM is the most common and among the most powerful of the 416WM derivatives. Even competing rounds like the 375 RUM don't greatly outperform (if at all) the 338lm.

What the cartridges gains over its trade offs vs the larger Nitro Express style rounds and their wildcat derivatives is portability and a large number of platforms available. I'm convinced it might be the most versatile round mass produced right now, all uses considered.

Yeah but I wouldn't want to carry a rifle around for bears. A .600 nitro or .454 casull would be far easier to carry around than a big bore rifle.
