It was awfully quiet around here until M(u umlaut)s took his turn to the cuckoo. I think we all need to recognize that his newfound political leanings have certainly enlivened the place.

No, I actually don't wonder at all. Abrupt changes like that rarely just happen as a result of sudden epiphany.
