There is evidence of people throwing eggs, for instance; in this day and age, when everyone and his brother's dog has a audio/video recording device of some sort, I would suspect that if there were racial remarks at tea party gatherings, the video would be out there for all to see. It'd be naive to think the left is not actively searching for such video and making recordings for that very purpose.

Whether someone is lying or not is not my call, but the lack of evidence to support the allegations of racial remarks casts doubt on their story. I'll believe it when it is proven. It is a proven tactic of some on the left to toss out accusations to try to silence opponents; I know this from personal experience on this board.

You are trying to find them guilty of making racist statements. While that's not a crime yet, It's certainly comparable.

No I'm not. Neither is RD. You're accusing the lawmakers of outright lying. All RD is saying is, "it might have happened and not been caught on camera".

And he's also saying that if you think it didn't happen you're guilty of partisan wingnuttery. "It might have happened" is not sufficient to establish any lack of reason in the other side's position.

Well, technically he has more evidence for his position. He has testimony. All the other position has as evidence is the "lack of evidence".

They have evidence - an accusation absolutely was made. Proof of intent is all that is lacking to support political wingnuttery, where proof of existence of racial insults is lacking to make the case that racist wingnuttery was present.

Proof of accusation is the ONLY absolute evidence in this event.
