Patrick Kennedy held a town hall meeting on health care(which was by invitation only, those invites going to AARP members and members of local teachers unions). At this meeting he made a comment, which is available to you at 1:53 of the provided clip.
I was infuriated after watching this. He makes a comment about how morally outrageous it is that people can be bumped ahead in their emergency-room que by knowing someone of power and means, and then provideds ancetotal evidence of
himself doing exactly this for a friend.
Ask yourself, and then perhaps ask my congressman as I have, why he feels it appropriate to help others cut the line or cut the line himself, and where exactly is his outrage placed? Ask yourself, if everyone is permitted to cut the line, as he seems to suggest congressional "reforms" will allow, will the same line not just reestablish itself on a different side of some other form or red tape?
