Xeq, are the only two states of an economy "boom" or "bust"?

Snap my dog's neck?

Hey Khross,

Maybe you should make a new topic asking everyone nicely to stop posting about economics. And then you can get some people explaining to you how they can't, and others will accuse you of picking on people, and maybe the past and present administration can explain to you how it's not their fault and not a problem anyway, and your simple plea will get turned into a fiasco that goes on for four pages.

Rafael:

Well, let's see ...

One party refuses to read anything he can't plagiarize from Tyler Cowen, Paul Krugman, or various diaries at DailyKOS.

Another party refuses to understand that human interest has very little to do with macroeconomic realities as "practiced" in contemporary politics.

You tend to post slightly more thoughtful posts, but they're still encumbered by some of the practical problems of heterodox mainstream economics.

Another individual refuses to accept that consensus thinking is very likely wrong despite its failure to produce any significant results in the current recession.

And no matter how many times links to essays, books, studies, research, what have you has been presented on this forum for the last 10 years ...

The same bullshit arguments get made by the same bullshit people despite certain obvious realities.

And, then, whenever anyone gets their panties in a wad about anything anyone else does, they immediately start attacking other posters (see your last post).

So what the **** ever ...

Apparently ...

I think it's just time to delete this place from my daily visits. It's no longer enjoyable.

My point is there's little reason to piss, ***** and moan about a thread regardless of the state it devolved to.

So yea, "what the **** ever", as you put it.

Rafael:

If it was only you arguing with me about whatever it was is being argued, that'd be a far sight better than the continued and perpetual ideology driven ignorance that inundates these threads. I mean, hell, Montegue doesn't even understand the arguments he's making. He's using language that talks of an entirely different political model for a managed economy than the one he continually advocates.

Khross:

Fair enough, but I think on a public board, and one who's character wasn't ever necessarily to be overly educated about the topics being discussed, that is a bit of a lofty pipe dream. Not that I'd advocate lowering your standards, but ...

Elmo:

Are we gonna BBQ or what? I'll bring more tekillya. I even brought back two huge bottles of Kansas City's very own Gates and Son's classic BBQ sauce. Pick a sunny day.

We can BBQ gay fish, no?

No plans to have a big one right now but there is always the autumn bonfire - or just give me a call if its nice and a Sat I'll likely be up there anyway. Just a quick run to the market for some chicken and assorted fixings.

Wow.... It's clear you've never even cracked an "Intro to Economics" book.
