That was the point. Your post carried the implication that if being gay is a choice, then there's no reason to ban discriminating against them. By the same logic, discriminating against someone for their religion should also be ok.

There are actually good arguments that support proclivities to be religious and proclivities to demonize people based on superficial differences as both being genetic predispositions that were selected for in our evolution.

No such implication is there because I didn't include the sentence about gayness at all.

A very good point, and thus it really doesn't matter if gay is a choice or not. However, religion, while a choice, is specifically protected in the constitution. The choice to be gay is not. So that's a problem.
