Wouldn't be hard. Just saw an advertisement for an automatic hammer. Would work just fine.

I think the largest threat to our individual liberty comes from the size and scope of private industry, it's effect on our environment, and the amount of influence it has on our government in terms of purchased influence through campaign donations. One of the worst decisions our Supreme Court ever made, in my opinion, was to consider a corporation a citizen.

Um, since private industry are private entities acting on their own accord, freely with each other, how can that possibly be a threat to our individual liberty? That is almost like the definition of exercising personal freedom: the right of private contract.

Now having influence by buying power in Congress is one thing, but that's not problem of private industry. Congress reps should only listen to and represent their constituency. If those private industries exist only in ones state and/or district, I don't see a problem. But often, this isn't the case.

I think the largest threat to society atm is when this warped sense of self entitlement becomes bigger/greater than self responsibility and accountability. When people view other people's hard work and want part of their success for nothing, when people demand more than the minimum for survival even when they have not earnt a single cent, when people believe they deserve the right to graduate when they have not done a single day of studying, when people believe they should be pardoned for their actions because of their race, gender or up bringing...

Lydiaa for Congress! Let's get a money bomb going!

Unfortunately, the basic, sound logic you present is empty rhetoric to most of our representatives. They learn to quick to be politicians. The problem isn't that that being politician isn't enough, the problem is it's too much.

I think it's a blend of all these things. When a corporation feels they are too big to anything- fail, pay full taxes, obey the laws etc.. they have fallen prey to the entitlement bug. Except that theirs is bigger.

So I don't want a large company or hordes of single people doing the "im entitled" game.

I think the biggest threat to liberty comes from redefining liberty so that its threatened by whatever one doesn't like.

Congress? Nah, somebody might still have standing to challenge her qualification. Lydiaa for President! Here's your Veto stamp.

 Ya .. I was ummm.. totally born in the US (vicinity?) >.>

Nah I'd confuse people too much... I'm a minority (women, asian with an aussie accent) economic conservative who support gay rights... there will be much head exploding.

I thought that women were the majority? I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that there were more women than men. Asians are a minority...here in the US. Not quite world wide, I would imagine.

According to this site, http://www.fedstats.gov/qf/states/00000.html , Women are 50.7% of the US population, and Asians make up 4.4%.

Pfft havent you gotten the memo? All women are under privileged and oppressed and need to be saved by the white man, other wise our poor little selves don't have the capacity to get out of the kitchen.

I always found it funny anyone considers asian a minority... there's just so many of us... we're just partly ninja and good at staying quiet while making world dominating plans. >=D

You know your description just made every Otaku reach puberty at the same time.

Get your goggles folks, I think she just solved climate change.

I just googled Otaku... and
I don't believe in climate change apart from those which are naturally occuring, of course I believe we need more non-biased funded research on the matter.

Non-biased?

How do you expect us to remain non biased about you Lydiaa? We're very biased . . . in your favor.

Well I guess I could hope that the biased nature is resultant from my stance on issues and not on my self proclaimed minority status.

Even though the bias in my favour is tempting to abuse for world domination, unfortunately my beliefs and moral (and sometimes oblivious asian blonde status) prevents me from such an act.

You guys effect my work greatly *shakes fist at the FDA* and I guess if I could affect any of you with the ability to vote even slightly, that will be a step towards my own gain. >=D

Lydiaa,

Finding funding with no bias attached to it is a real trick. Good luck with that...
