Why am I being referred to in a thread I hadn't posted in?

Maybe I'll just call Hannibal in and we can watch Monte not post anymore when Hannibal calls Jackson an irrelevant racist.

Is that a pot pie with catsup on it? That does not say happiness and rainbows, to me. That says "blech".

Thats an aussie meat pie. Using the finest angus beef... of course I pulled that pic off the internet so you're probably right haha.

Meat pies are to aussies what apple pies are to americans....

Let it also be said; I am not using the phrase curb stomp in a supremacist manner. I would be all for Curb stomping our former president, his predecessor as well as his predecessor.

I feel the idea of one race being superior to all is ridiculous. All races on this planet deserve to be snuffed in a flashy manner to serve as an example to the next species to rise up.

The fact that you see racism everywhere just shows that you are incapable of seeing anything more than racism; hence my desire not to engage you in this conversation.

I could give a **** less if your sensibilities see my desire for an ignorant punk **** to be brutally killed. I would like to see the leader of the KKK curb stomped as well. Hell I would love to see every neo nazi skinhead curb stomped.

And what I said is a far cry from calling for guys in white sheets to drag him out of his home.

Jesse Jackson may be prominent, and that is it. His leadership is a joke.. he is there for ratings not for actual guidance. But his bullshit has got to stop. I only hope I live long enough to see his end. And when they show his funeral on TV I want to look up at his lifeless eyes and wave like this.

Maybe we could start with this shithole of a forum?

Why do people constantly feel the need to complain about this forum? There's really nothing wrong with it; it's just not all cawfee tawk.

This may be against the rules. As such, I will be moving this pie to the moderator forum until such time as we can decide what to do about it. We will notify you if there happen to be leftovers.

You specifically invoked an image of a hate crime against a black man, targeting a black man in the process. Sorry, but it's not unreasonable for me to conclude that your statement had something to do with race.

So, because you disagree with what he says, he should die brutally, and violently?

To be a bit more informative about the problem with what he is saying...

Jackson is essentially calling any black person a sell out if they do not believe that they must lower their standards to the LCD.

So in his attempt to raise the black people to a position of power in the world; he feels it neccessary to call people sell outs if they have the audacity to not want to be part of the governmental handout.

I bet he is not going to be on the government funded healthcare plan.

I saw American History X and immediately thought of that film. As Monte says, it's the only film I have ever seen, Ed Norton or otherwise, where someone is 'curb stomped'. It's a pretty repulsive scene as matter of fact.

I have never seen American History X, but it was involved in an investigation I had to do once when I was on active duty. Someone had carved a swastika into the door of a black soldier's room. Several other soldiers were accused of doing it because they'd been watching "American History X". I wish I still had my notebook; the best I can recall there wasn't enough to go on to discipline anyone.

An instructive lesson, however, on what thin justification people will use to make charges of racism.

Don't take our pies, bro!!

Monte:

You have never shown the ability to look past race. Why you insist on this reductive, color-based view of the world yet expound that you are not racist is beyond me.

Please refrain from your personal attacks, Raphael. That is neither an accurate description of me, nor the way I feel.

It is an observation clear as day. When race is not an issue (it should never really be an issue, since it doesn't matter) you make it one. You make it the primary one.

That isn't a personal attack, it's an observation that is clear as day, it is obvious to anyone.

No, it isn't. It's a fabrication from the posters on this board that refuse to see the racism that's around them. The guy with the monkey outside the Obama rally? Not a racist, apparently. Rush Limbaugh? Apparently not a racist. Don Imus? He's just as tolerant as a kitten. The tea party protesters with signs depicting obama as a witch doctor, screaming at him to go back to africa? Good, noble americans just trying to make their voices heard.

You see *no* racism, anywhere. I point out very clear racism, and suddenly I'm the racist.

That you just posted that clearly indicates you fail to read anything I post. I have said many times in the past that I believe everyone is racist by the definition. DE has discussed this with me and the past and we've disagreed.

You want a utilitarian definition of racism to use as a weapon and shield.

But everyone isn't racist, not by nature, anyway. Even if that were the case, it's entirely irrelevant. Racism, as you must agree, is wrong. Even if we are all slightly racist to some degree, that doesn't mean it's ok. It's something we have to be careful with.

Calling someone out for malicious racism is the right thing to do.

You're wrong, we are all racist my nature. Even Dave Chappelle made a perfectly valid point; we never consider the individual, we reduce identity to superficial elements, one of which is race.

You're right, it's no OK. We are also violent by nature, every single one of us, to some degree, and greedy, and hateful, petty etc. None of those are OK, either. The answer to that are sought by every religion in the world, philosophers, teenage kids smoking pot etc.

What is "malicious" racism? How do you quantify it and differentiate from "incidental, non-malicious" racism?

Malicious racism is pretty easy to see. Turn on your radio to right wing political talk, and before long, you will hear someone smearing Hispanic people or African Americans.

Funny, I've been listening to radio you would call right-wing political talk for over 20 years. Haven't heard it yet.

Your ad hominem fallacy doesn't actually do anything to establish what malicious racism is. All it does is establish you have a pre-concieved bias against certain news outlets.

Instead of pointing at people calling their behavior racist, why don't you do something truly progressive and examine your own behavior, take the racist components of it and analyze why those components are indeed "malicious".

Instead, you just point at someone and use circular logic and say "These people's behavior is the definition of racism. It has to be because they are racist."

I've had my lawn chair set up since the topic was posted. We both knew exactly how it would play out. I get a bit tired of the double standard with regards to this topic.

As to Montes expected posts about racism, well what can be said that hasn't been said, re-said, and said again?
