I got some recent shizzle for messing with other people's avatars so it seems consistent and fair to me. Neither Dash nor Mook said anything about copyright infringement.

I've not been a dick to Monty in any other section. The fact it is a picture that HE put out on the internet that I happened to run across shoots down his right to be pissed if someone uses it as an avatar. If this is the route you guys are going, then you're going to have to remove all avatars if someone finds them offensive or people don't like them.

I appreciate the mod's actions here. I don't honestly care if folks are dicks to me in this forum in the context of the rabble rousing battles that happen here. It keeps me entertained before classes begin in the fall.

However, this stepped over the line, and i'm grateful that you guys did something about it. As such, I'd like to request the thread be deleted.

While I personally think that most of Dash's administrative decisions could be made by a retarded monkey throwing darts, in this instance I have to agree with his reasoning. Whether or not any of the rest of us could identify Monte's image is irrelevant. It is taunting for Nitefox to use it as his avatar, as both he and Monte recognize the image, and it is also true that the image is global, such that it is not confined to the Hellfire forum where such behavior (and worse) is explicitly allowed. Why this was not handled in PMs is an exercise best left for the reader.
