Considering what you said about respect in the last 24-48 hours, I find this bizarre. What exactly is the point of posting here if we're supposed to be respectful but not have an informed discourse?

I can understand that you don't want to have to peruse a whole bunch of internet links just to post something, but what are you getting at?

I will start believing this is a place for informed discourse when threads like the bloody one stop getting posted. I would love to have an more informed discourse. I don't think we need to write dissertations in every post.




Mostly I am confused as to why Khross suddenly wants a dissertation out of me on an internet board that has a very long history of a distinct lack of such standards.

It was about your comment(s) previously where you are refusing to inform yourself under the defense that its "not class" or whatever.

If I am to believe your attitude is this cavalier, depsite the sentiments you express in general and how confrontational you are (about them), why should I even bother to reply to anything you post from now on?

After all, we've just established nothing you post on here is informed, anyway. I mean, why would you bother to post anything informed on here, if this board is "not a place for informed discourse"?

False dilemma. Not writing dissertations doesn't mean a post is uninformed.



The standard has long been held to substantiate a source to the point where all parties can accept it to be valid. Which is pretty standard in general.

If you posted (which you just did) that this isn't a place for informed discussion, then why would it make sense for me treat anything you post as informed? That makes no sense.
