Interesting tangent so gay marriage = abortions in your mind? Not to speak for FarSky, but I suspect it's more preventing religious dogma becoming law. |

So being slightly pro-life (shifting the deadline for abortions from 6 months to 5 months) means you are religious then? Also interesting. |

More "hey, things I support had a good day in court/legislative review" yesterday, and there wasn't a separate thread for that. |

Just to get a head count for future developments... If a gay couple wants to get married by a church that doesn't support gay marriage, should the church be forced to marry the gay couple or punished somehow for not doing so? |

Apart from the rhetoric of the social-right claiming this is the end result, I've yet to see anyone in the social-left (or middle) suggest this is something they would ever want. |

I'll bet you a box of donuts that it will be put to the challenge by someone within the next 10 years. |

zomg! Gays are going to oppress Christians by forcing homophobes to perform weddings! That's the stupidest **** objection to legalizing gay marriage I've ever heard. What makes you think a pair of gays would want to spend their wedding at your church? |

Best donuts around. A dozen cost around 8 bucks. You can send a check. |

What makes you think a pair of gays would want to spend their wedding at your church? Should we maybe look at existing precedent? You can't force a Catholic Priest to marry non-catholics (or even catholics living in a state of "sin"). Why would you be able to force them to marry gays now? |

We have private business owners being sued for not providing wedding support for gays. You just know there is some extreme gay couple out there wanting to prove a point. I'm not trying to make a big deal out of it, it's just something I think will happen. I really only wanted my intial question answered. |

Just to clarify the wager, I believe Nitefox is betting on some representative of the militant idiot arm of the gay community to engage in militant idiocy. Anyone wanting to accept the wager would be betting against. I don't know how many of you have studied much history... |

That's because Nitefox is currently feeling lonely engaging in militant idiocy by himself. |
