Creepy as all hell? Yes. Racist? No.

The author is a white woman with a child who is not white. She is probably just trying to be a good white mom to a black kid but she's trying too hard. I think it's commendable that she's trying to be protective of her kid and make the world a better place for said child, but for every point she makes with her writing that is valid and worthy of praise, I'm sure there will be many others that are just kind of pointless and stupid, hit or miss.
