Wow. The comments (and a couple of the other blog posts I saw headlines for while scrolling down to the Do the Left Thing one) on that Simple Justice site are golden.
The author of Do the Left Thing was given an ultimatum from the primary college paper he also writes for -- choose between it (the Daily) and the alternative paper he wrote the satire for (the Review). Apparently another student at the Daily anonymously complained about the satire piece and how it made him/her uncomfortable and created a hostile work environment. He was asked to apologize, and refused. Afterwards, the ultimatum (which is technically supported by a bylaw in the Daily that requires prior editorial permission to write for both papers simultaneously) was delivered. Reason reports that the author's apartment door was vandalized with "intimidating speech" by some girls who got caught on camera. Wow.
