I have a choice today between bad, worse, and freakin' insane. What's even worse is I am not sure which is which. **** politicians. No matter how many run, they are all idiots. |

Well. We'll see how this goes. I don't entirely hate the results. They certainly aren't exactly how I'd have liked to see things end up, however. |

How did a thread about elections in Canada wind up in Hellfire? Did Taly develop a second personality that she may have argued with? |

There are no topics that cause controversy here, anymore. DE's theoretical description of nuking the middleast at RD's request, a few years ago would have generated 10 pages of Monty screaming "racist!" Today, anyone could start a thread suggesting any manner of bigoted nonsense and most of us would miss it. |

Here, here's some more information that would have sparked a raging flame war a decade ago: Canada's new government was sworn in yesterday. Fully half of the PMs cabinet ministers demanded to remove the phrase "so help me God" from their oath of office. Of the ones who did not, several are from non-Christian traditions. The highest profile among the latter is our new minister of Defense, a distinguished officer in the Canadian military. He's also a Sikh (complete with beard and turban.) |
