You don't say!

This is pretty much exactly what I expected. So much so that I can now blissfully ignore those with any amount of cob up their *** about ... well, anything, politically.

Absolutely. He is just as ++ungood as I expected him to be and more.

The schadenfreude is delicious.

Or, it would be, were it not horrifying that people think the lying sack of **** is doing a "good" job of presidenting.

Yes, I expected him to make himself a laughingstock, to lie and misrepresent, etc, and so he has done exactly what I expected.

So far, he's been just as horrible as I expected.

Not at all. I was expecting the GOP to take him for a ride through Dallas in a convertible so that they could have another Republican president, but instead they're all busy licking his boots.

Still not sure here. My expectation is that he'll spend his Presidency trying to push nationalist economic policy and that the establishment will just block most of it.

Obamacare is going to be the first real test. They left him with a really awful no-win situation on that one and it's going to be interesting to see how he deals with it.

Wasn't he supposed to have enslaved half of the American citizenry by now and forced them to toil building a wall? Does anybody have pictures of the progress? I hope it's as culturally significant and awe inspiring as that Chinese one.

He's still trying to get the financing together to build the greatest wall in history. There has never been as great a wall. The Chinese Wall is a fake wall, it never kept anyone out, or stopped anyone from leaving. Not only that, the Chinese had to pay for it. Not like the Great Southern Wall of the Greatest country in the World, the United States of America. Its huuuge, and the Mexicans will pay for it by paying tariffs to import their goods into the United States.

You don't need financing when you have slaves. So I take this to mean nobody has been enslaved yet? I am very disappointed right now.

Thirteenth Amendment keeps getting in the way. They'll need to use convicts.

Yeah. I actually talked to a few people that think people in jail should be forced to do the jobs that the "illegals" are doing now to earn their prison room and board.

I thought being poor was a crime. I could have sworn that's been the representation. This country is just going off the rails, this lying about what is and isn't so.

It used to be that way. Work details. People got away, guards cost money, the number of man hours you needed every week would sky rocket. You can't just work your normal crew to death, the OT alone would be cost prohibitive. So you hire extra guards, then you have to give them benefits. Short story, it isn't going to happen.

That being said, all those guys doing community service for drunk driving...**** drive them out to pick corn for a day instead of picking up trash along the high way.

I can't believe there's not 100% agreement for this topic. There's literally a preponderance of evidence for however you feel to feel about POTUS! There's drama, world intrigue, secrets, a villain, a SUPERvillian, undoubtedly damsels in distress and dragons to be slain.

What's not to love? It's got sometime for everyone. It reinforces everything you know about everything. It's the blue pill

Honestly didn't know what to expect. I see both sides losing their crap at the slightest little things. I think the only thing I'll be surprised at is if the left has the stamina to keep going this mental a year from now.

But I didn't vote for the guy, so I don't feel I have to defend anything he does.

This. My main expectation is for a different CIC in 4 years. Hopefully, none of the top contenders from this last round of **** vs. Crap are still around (figuratively...)

Liberals are losing their mind - expected.
Trump's acting like a jackass - expected.
Trump's taking some time to figure out how to be POTUS - expected.
The media's having a fit, and picking apart everything - expected.

Two months remain before I start judging.

The only thing he's done that maters is Gorsuch, and I never expected him to follow through on that promise.

He has exceeded.

It is ridiculously early to be asking this question. I am not exactly shocked by anything I've seen so far, though.

Yes, we're behind schedule on that project. He's also failed to ignore court rulings, and has broken campaign promises of a new authoritarianism by creating a new executive order to pass legal muster rather than simply implementing his old one by force and arresting the 9th circuit.

Also, Botswana has not yet been nuked off the face of the earth for no apparent reason.

Truly, this President is an immense disappointment. It's no wonder people are complaining about how terrible he is, he's doing an absolutely awful job of ensuring that they really did tell us so.

Hard to answer the poll except in one aspect, because I didn't really know what to expect. I was just thankful that the buffoon beat out the supervillian.

But as someone who despaired at the lack of fiscal responsibility in our government, the fact that he REDUCED the DEBT by 12 billion in his first month blew any expectations I had out of the water.

That's not an unusual fluctuation. Also, all spending policies are still in place from Barak Obama, the budget is still on autopilot. Trump taking credit for that is ridiculous.

That depends. Normally it would be, but Trump instituted a hiring freeze for most civilian Federal jobs which is still in effect. That could easily cause a short-term deficit (I'm pretty sure it's the defecit he meant to refer to, not the debt) reduction which would be directly attributable to Trump's action and which he could obviously take "credit" for.

Now, the other side of the coin is that this hiring freeze may end up costing more in the long run than it saves. That remains to be seen, but is by no means a minor risk given the Federal history of cutting too rapidly and then having to rubber-band back. However, the actual effects will not be known for quite some time yet; certainly much longer than Trump's elapsed time in office so far. It may be very hard to ever know at all because of partisan mistrust of any assessment either way, and the strong possibility of any assessment (positive or negative) being influenced or directed in such a way. This isn't even a polarization issue or a Trump issue; there's a long history of Federal spending assessments being dressed up to say whatever the speaker wants them to say.

I haven't heard Trump say anything directly taking credit for a deficit reduction, either, but he may have.

I was actually referring to the debt, which has gone down another 22 billion since the first month, bringing the total debt down 34 billion so far.
