Repeal ObamaCare Petition

After months of backroom deals, political payoffs, and strong-arm tactics, President Obama and the Democrats forced an unpopular health care takeover through the United States Congress. Americans lost this battle with their elected leaders in Washington but the war is not over! If we're willing to the fight to save freedom, we can settle the score in November by electing true conservatives who will repeal this unconstitutional and dangerous bill. The simple truth is the bill cannot be fixed. It must be repealed.

The Senate Conservatives Fund, chaired by U.S. Senator Jim DeMint, has launched this national "Repeal ObamaCare Pledge" to rally support for conservative candidates who vow to repeal President Obama's health care takeover. America is teetering toward tyranny and we must work together to reverse the radical agenda in Washington.

Electing just any Republican is not the answer. We've seen what happens when we send Republicans to Washington who don't truly believe in the principles of freedom. They abandon their principles, lose the trust of the American people, and leave us with Democrats controlling Congress and the White House.

Instead, we must support true conservatives who love the Constitution and who will fight for limited government, a strong national defense, and traditional family values. And we must only help those candidates who vow to repeal ObamaCare.

FarSky is not gay!

Just because he works for the liberal media, sheesh.

Now Roy Ashburn, super conservative champion of anything opposing anti-gay rights, the Republican State Senator representing the 18th District in California http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California ... e_district and headquartered in Bakersfield, he's gay.

But FarSky? Kitty Cash would have let us know by now.

Where's the "I'm not even american" option >.<

If this goes through, your economics will effect our own and thus bad bad bad...

It already passed. The Democrats and President Obama just killed the United States. The irony being no one actually looked at the cost of the average group plan. They didn't look at employer contributions. They didn't look at the fine print.

Payroll Taxes for FICA will double within 30 days of the bills passage. Your personal contributions to your healthcare plans are work are no longer tax deferred. Your employer will stop providing insurance or stop paying their contribution, because they can't afford their side of the "Cadillac Plan" Tax. More people will be uninsured; fewer people will receive health care of a suitable nature than before; and doctors will go out of business.

I guess the only things the Democrats really know how to do is break something worse than it was before. **** the traitorous bastard who so willfully ignored the will of the people.

This is the first I've heard of FICA taxes doubling, I think people would notice and be pretty angry pretty quickly if their FICA tax suddenly went up from 6.2% to 12.4%.

My answer is yes I'd sign it but I've no illusions it will do much good. Granted this issue has made me pretty cynical.

Rep. John Adler (D) NJ voted no in my state, I was very surprised to hear it. Will the Pols that voted yes pay the political price in November? I certainly hope so.

I believe incumbents of all political persuasions will pay. It'll be a vote to "clean house".

I am curious how this bill will shake out. When does it actually go into effect?

Immediately. When the president signs ****, all the taxation stuff goes into effect.

Then, the "benefits" that get more people insured kick in either 5 or 10 years from now, I forget which.

Kind of. The tax on "cadillac" plans that the Unions opposed doesn't go into effect until 2013, unless the Senate adopts the changes, then it gets delayed until 2018. Otherwise, the taxes everyone else pays goes into effect immediately.

Benefits don't start for at least 4 years... part of how they kept the cost under $1 trillion... collect taxes for 10 years, pay benefits for 6.

What Dash said. Especially because we're from the same state. Unfortunately, I was in a district with a solid conservative congressman. I'm moving to one that won't have that. Maybe I should run in a few years. *sigh*

I don't really have any other options with the state of my health, LadyKate. My oncologist and PCP both sent out letters to patients last week stating they were closing their practices because of the reforms.

Your glad a wholly unworkable reform bill that will exacerbate the "problems" with healthcare in America passed? Are you really this ignorant Aizle? Or, do you just believe that the Senate knows what its talking about, despite the fact that the law was on Harry Reid's site and we read it? Your cost of healthcare will go up. Access will go down. Taxes will go up with no benefit provided. These are all REAL results of the bastardized, unworkable plan they cobbled together. You're GLAD they passed a totally failed bill?

I'm afraid for a lot of people, the most important thing is that this "goal" was realized. However, there is no direct link between the idealized goal and what was actually passed, except in the lip service paid by those in Congress.

So it doesn't surprise me that he, and many others, are happy. To them, it was the concept of fairness in access to healthcare as a right that was passed, despite the reality of the situation.

Aw man I'm so sorry. I thought you were just making a flippant comment. I feel like an ***. Sorry. :(
Wow, they are seriously closing their practices because of this? Effective when? And are they not referring patients to someone else?
This is hard for me to wrap my tiny mind around.
